The Logistician III will serve as a subject matter expert, developing and executing logistics strategies, ensuring compliance with DoD acquisition standards, and collaborating with military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders.

This role requires independent performance of complex and technical logistics tasks across acquisition, sustainment, configuration management, and reliability analysis. The Logistician III will serve as a subject matter expert, developing and executing logistics strategies, ensuring compliance with DoD acquisition standards, and collaborating with military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review Technical Documentation Packages (TDPs) in compliance with ASME Y14.24.
- Create and maintain Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSPs) documenting sustainment strategies across design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment phases.
- Develop and review Configuration Management Plans (CMPs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Notices of Revision (NORs), and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) in alignment with MIL-HDBK-61A.
- Conduct Business Case Analyses (BCAs) to support Depot Source of Repair (DSOR) decisions.
- Utilize automated tools such as PowerLog and SLICWave to prepare Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) deliverables, including level-of-repair analyses, maintenance planning, and provisioning data.
- Perform reliability and sustainment analyses, including Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Operational Availability (OA), and Total Logistics Delay Time.
- Support all phases of the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle, preparing logistics documentation and supporting/participating in Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs).
- Independently respond to internal and external data calls within tight deadlines.
- Manage logistics deliverables and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to standard practices and procedures for material and facility functions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma required; technical school diploma or prior military logistics experience preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant logistics experience.
- Prior NSWC Crane support experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DoD logistics procedures and acquisition processes.
- DAWIA Level II certification or training preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills for effective interaction with DoD civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
